Data protection
Protecting personal data is a very important issue for the Bundesrat. We would like you to feel secure whilst visiting our website. For that reason we inform you when we collect data, and provide information about which data are collected and how we use such data.
We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure that both by the Bundesrat and external service providers comply with provisions on data protection.
The website may be used without revealing any personal data.
If you send us an e-mail or use the option to provide personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) when using the services provided on-line, you explicitly agree to disclose this data voluntarily. We store your data on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to these servers is granted exclusively to a small number of specially authorized individuals involved in technical, commercial or editorial maintenance of the Bundesrat website.
Your personal data are used within the Bundesrat if you place an online order for information material to be sent by post. The data collected is not transmitted to third parties. Records of the orders are printed and stored for approximately one month in case any enquiries arise. The print-outs are destroyed after statistical assessment of the material ordered. The print-outs are only available to the relevant members of staff in the Public Relations Unit, who use this information exclusively for purposes relating to shipment of the information material. This utilisation complies with data protection provisions.
