Welcome! Visiting the Bundesrat

More than 60,000 people visit the Bundesrat every year. During such visits, they learn about the many aspects of this constitutional body’s work, and have an opportunity to experience the Bundesrat building’s striking architecture at first hand.

The Visitor Service offers various formats for a visit, including attending a plenary session and guided tours of the building in various languages. Please do contact us if you would like to organise a visit.

Programme

  • Guided tour of the building including the plenary chamber
  • Lecture explaining the role, working methods and composition of the Bundesrat
  • Discussion as appropriate

Length of visit: c. 60 minutes.

On request, visits in this format can also be organised in English, French, Polish, Russian, Italian and Danish.

Schedule

Monday to Friday
At 8.30 a.m., 9.45 a.m., 11.45 a.m., 1.45 p.m., 2.30 p.m. and 3.45 p.m.

No information visits are organised on the following dates:

  • during plenary sessions
  • on national public holidays and public holidays in Berlin,
  • from December 21, 2020 to January 8, 2021,
  • from July 26 to August 20, 2021,
  • from 15 to 19 November 2021 and
  • from December 20, 2020 to January 7, 2022

Number of participants

Groups should comprise at least 10 and at most 50 participants.
